Each time I walk into Forward Financial Credit Union I don't feel like they're there to take care of me. The tellers and loan officers are not customer centric.
I'm sure they're nice people, however... it feels more like a "good ole boys club," than a professional financial institution. The experience I have with other banks are night and day. Here I feel like they always doing me a favor, as opposed to being happy to see a customer.
In 36 years of banking the best part remains the free kid treaties! My kids love them as did I when I was little, plus its a reason to behave when mom and dad are running errands.
When I returned from Iraq with the 46th MPs in 04' I can still remember all the employees standing outside cheering for us. That is what I think of when I walk through those doors: that this isn't just another bank it is part of our community.
I recently took out a loan and received a letter a few days later requesting my ok to lower the interest rate... Yeah lower the rate!
After paying off my loan early, Forward Financial continued to debit my checking account for a loan that was paid off months ago. When I called to ask for help, I had to explain it in detail to two different people as they were each in a hurry to rush me off the phone. Verses apologizing and doing what they could to help me, they blamed it on their software as not being sophisticated enough to stop the EDT. Moreover, I was told I'd receive a call back to assist with the bounce fees they racked up, no call.
I have been a member since I was born and though I have used other Banks throughout my life this Credit Union is the only one that has remained constant. I will continue to do banking here as I have had zero issues, zero hassle, and excellent service since 1981.
Best place to do banking
Almost always helpful and kind, with some rare occurrences of shrewdness. They are eager to explain new products and procedures, and are especially helpful with online banking. I would highly recommend.
